Words you love...

Post by buffettbride »

Ok. We had a ball with the "words you hate" thread. What about words you love? These are most likely words other people hate, but ya just can't help yourself. They might not even be "real" words.

My two faves: Funner and Stupider are both excellent non-real words that are quite funny when used in the proper context.

Examples:
It's more funner to use a spork than a spoon or fork.
People with asshats are stupider than most.

And all the harm that I ever did, Alas it was to none but me.
And since it falls, unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, 'Goodnight and Joy be with you all.'"

Speaking from a middle school perspective....

"nuh-uh" and "yuh-huh" (common middle school answer to "no" and "yes" :-?

My favorites are snafu, apropos, and chocolate (for obvious reasons! :D )

as for non-real words....

oscabadula (aus-ca-bah-do-la)

My Econ professor in college used to say it all the time and it just stuck with me. It's a statement for every emotion depending on the inflection.

You got the answer - oscabadula! :D
You are frustrated - oscabadula! :-?
You are shocked - oscabadula! :o

I'm down with crappola, along with crappo. But libidinibinidouonmous? Can't do that. That's not a word - it's a way to torture Mings.

a libidinously masticating Mings might require obfuscation upon direct interrogation by spousal units..

Fortunately for Mings, he's not spousally encumbered, therefore his libidinous mastication will not require obfuscation.
