So, you're on a boat and it wrecks. You can grab three things to take with you before you must abandon ship. Assuming that there will be enough food and water and even some available electricity (yes, it's an odd island), what do you bring with you?

Assuming that these three things are already on the boat:

2) Computer (containing all my music and writings)
3) The significant other I was sharing the boat with, or the dog or cat I was sharing the boat with, depending...

Hey, I don't care how odd the island is, I still wanna get home.

1) A shortwave radio.
2) A flare gun.
3) Jessica Alba (gotta pass the time 'til we're rescued ).

1. A book, in which I can write for whatever purpose.
2. Music - tons of it, from either my ipod or itunes, but I'd probably need to supplement it before even getting on the boat.
3. A good leatherman tool.

(I'm assuming that my companions on the boat also made it to the island, so I won't have to wish for "a beautiful woman" or anything like that, because one will already be with me.)

I assume you're bringing the professor to guarantee that you'll never get off the island (and spend the rest of your life as a "castaway sandwich"). He could make a radio out of coconuts but couldn't figure out how to fix a hole in the boat - waddamaroon!
