Jimmy Buffett Day in Jacksonville FL

Jacksonville’s Official Jimmy Buffett Day
will be celebrated starting at noon in
Hemming Plaza downtown with
entertainment by JIMMY PARRISH and
The OCEAN WAVES BAND. This part
of the day is free and open to the public.

That evening, the celebration moves to
Mongos at the Landing where JIM MORRIS
& THE BIG BAMBOO BANDwill be providing
the entertainment! This event will be limited
to 300 participants due to venue capacity,
so don’t miss out. The price is $20.00pp
which includes an all-you-can-eat Mongolian
BBQ. There will be drink specials and
give-aways though out the night.

There is a block of rooms at the Omni
(across the street from the Landing)
available at a special rate, so c'mon down!
Spend a warm, wonderful December day
on the river in Jacksonville with your A1A
and PHINS friends!

There's a pretty good chance I'll be going to this one. I went to the A1A party in 2002 & 2003 but couldn't make it last year. I even won 3, count 'em, 3, prizes in the raffle in 2002. :lol:

I never heard that Jacksonville was doing this.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

At least not until last year when Beaches A1A PHC got the second
Saturday of EVERY December declared Jimmy Buffett Day by the
Mayor. Now other cities and even states are being asked to declare
Buffett days or Parrothead days. Alabama's Parrothead Day was last
March when we were at Lulu's during the Stars Fell on Alabama event.
Tallahassee has declined the request so far. :( Maybe after Jeb is gone...
