I can't say I'm surprised. I never really thought it was funny.

The thing is if there is no audience right away, even the good shows will get cancelled without a fair shake.

I watched my first episode the other day and actually enjoyed it.

Arrested Development was in its 3rd year---how much longer did you want them to wait?

If "Arrested Development" can last 3 years on TV...and no one really knows why....and evidently it had fewer viewers than "SMACKDOWN"....
Sorry you lost your show.
"My Name is Earl" seems to have quite a following and should be quite safe from cancelation...IF the writers can keep up, after all he has how many items on his list???
Predictable.....??? Perhaps...after all everyone knows he is repairing his Karma and is "making things right", what is wrong with that?

This isn't a show you can watch once and pass judgment on it, you need to give it a few tries, and I thought it was, and is, the best show on TV. FOX never promoted the show, kept changing the nights, and pulling it for a month at a time.
Last week during the NFL coverage, how many times could they promote that lousy show "Stacked", but not one AD promo.
Rent the DVD's and give this show a chance, it's one of a kind.

I am truly bummed about this one
It did feel like the writing really dropped off this year,
and taking the monthlong break for the baseball playoffs just killed the storyline

I tried Arrested Development in the first season, watched about 3 times. Didn't do anything for me.

It's like so many of these shows that are on TV now....
y'know, like "Lost" "24" etc....
If you don't see it from the beginning, and get on the storyline train,
it's really hard to jump in and enjoy much of it

I just found it mostly unfunny. The lack of laugh track didn't help.
