Gingerbread Latte

Post by pbans »

Okay....usually I'm not a Starbucks fan....but caved under the pressure of some uppie girlfriends....they have the seasonal specials now and the Gingerbread Latte is sooooo good.
So there's my unsolicited critique of the day.....

They sound scrumptious . . . but it needs to cool down some more here before I get to feeling "gingerbready". It was bright and sunny and 65 degrees here today!! Global warming, I tell ya! :D

I LOVE their Pumpkin Spice Latte. I haven't tried the gingerbread one yet. As soon as I have a few extra bucks, I may treat myself.

Along those lines, I finaly found the seasonal coffeemate flavors this weekend. Had to go all the way to BHA's neck of the woods and found some at the grocery store up there. Brought home several to get me through until maybe I can convice him to bring some down for Thanksgiving! :) :) :)

Monkeyboy is right! The seasonal drinks are great, except for the eggnog latte. Maybe if I could sneak a shooter into Starbucks to mix into it...it might be alright :D

The bad thing is that now that the drinks are out, it means Christmas isn't that far away and as usual...I will be scrambling at the last minute :-? :(

They have the following flavors out for the holidays:

Gingerbread
Eggnog
Pumpkin Spice
Peppermint Mocha

They are impossible to find here in Indy but went to BHA's place this wekeend and we found them! My mom and i have been looking for them for a while with no luck. Needless to say, she got a phone call from the grocery asking which ones she wanted and how many. I brought home a cooler full iced down last night! The pumpkin spice rocks!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that Gingerbread latte is great. I especially like a Peppermint latte in the a.m. to wake my sleepy butt up.

But, for the most part, I just get my coffee at home. We bought ourselves one of those Jura Capresso Impressa espresso machines. LOVE IT!!

I'd paste a picture, but I'm a dork and don't know how. Here's a link though: http://www.chefsresource.com/jura-capresso-e8.html

Darn right we do! It's so quick and easy. Takes less than 5 minutes from the time you turn it on to the time you're drinking it.

And it quickly pays for itself when you consider how much a latte costs.

And the taste of the coffee that comes out of this machine is amazing. You just gotta know what type of beans you like best. I used to drink coffee w/sugar & milk. With this machine, I love it black w/sugar.

Great creama too.
