I see your point. The key is to how we react. However when someone does something so negative that society as a whole is repulsed then if someone dosn't react then apathy sets in.
But I still fail to see how some of the things that occured during said research have a thing to do with school bullying. I don't care who you are the President of the United States or a bum living under a bridge. What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong and some of the things that OTE said under the theory of his "research" were just plain wrong no matter who you are.

I don't know what direction this thread has taken nor why, because I've only been a member since August, but since I see my name I feel committed to respond. As I've said, I've been around here for less than 3 months, and I can say that, for the most part, the established BNrs have been very inclusive and accepting of me. I don't really know anyone, and have only gotten to know them from our daily interaction on here, but I already feel like I've known some for longer than the couple of months I've been around. Like I said, I don't know the history of things to which you refer, but I can say that claiming that "BN is full of exclusive cliques!" is just that - a misconception.

Larry, I fully understand your point and I wouldn't argue for a second that Utopia is possible (or for that matter even desirable). But I think the original point of the thread was attempting to deal with the prejudicial types of intolerance (wanting to "smack down" someone just because they're different) rather than intolerance for jack-a$$es (who probably deserve a good smack down). As I said before, I'm always skeptical about these types of "programs", but I'm willing to give them a try if there's a chance of reducing the frequency of the former. As for the latter, you have my blessing to hit 'em with a cane, crutches, walker or roll over their feet with a wheelchair!

Well Brian that's the story I got from you when you were apologizing to me for what your wife had dsaid . As I understand a couple of others that you had talked to basicaly were told the same thing so where's the inaccuracy? Please feel free to clear up any inaccuracy.
