Can anyone here tell me or refer me to Mailboat/Margaritaville Record's explanation for dumping Todd a few years ago? I know he was in rehab, but since when does JB not empathize? BTW seems Todd is doing fine with John Prine's Oh Boy Records.

Margaritaville didn't dump Todd. MCA did. I believe Margaritaville had folded at the time and Todd was absorbed by MCA. MCA dunped Todd after he told a packed house full of record executives In Los Angeles to go F' themselves. He walked off stage and out the front door of the theater. I think he entered rehab shortly after that.

Todd was doing fine with Oh Boy but his new release is going to be released on a major label. I believe it is once again an MCA label. Todd and Will Kimbrough have been hard at work on the new release.
