Old Buffett Newspaper Articles

Post by BottleofRum »

I went to the "Harvard Crimson" website today (The official Harvard University Newspaper) trying to find an article on Buffett's speech this week. I typed Buffett in the search engine and it gave me a whole list of old Jimmy Buffett articles, some written as far back as the 1970's.

Here is a link to all of them.

I still have the complete Rolling Stones paper from the 1970's that features Buffett on the cover with the 2 or 3 articles in it.

It's a bit yellowed, but you can still thumb through the pages.

Anyone know a sure fire way to preserve it? I've heard yes and no to both plastic bags and the spray-on stuff. Not sure what WILL actually work.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I don't know how to preserve the actual paper magazine, but I highly recommend scanning the images so at least they will "live" digitally practically phoever!

Somehow, the link between Jimmy and the "sex lives of wild turkeys" went right over my head. :-?

I got that off ebay last year! Right now mine is just in a picture frame but I should try and preserve it a bit better somehow...

thanks for the link. its pretty cool to read the old 70's articles that are written by college kids on teh cusp of what is hip. the colleges still do it now a days and i have no idea who they are talking about and the articles from 76 or so are just that...college kids writing about a new cutting edge artist that their parents never heard of.

This is pretty cool to read, especially reviews of these "new" album releases.

Shameless bragging/namedropping ahead:

I was editor of my college newspaper in the 70s. Wonder if my university will ever post my backstage interview with Kenny Loggins? 8) 8) 8)
