My first car was a 1978 gold 4 door Buick Skylark that was a hand me down from my parents. Not the fanciest car but of the 8 of us that went to the same University from my grad class, I was the only one with wheels and we were 350 miles from home. I let them drive it when they needed it.
The first car I bought on my own was a 1984 Toyota Celica, fire engine red and a 5 speed. Got it right before my sophomore year of college and was known for zooming around campus in it.

I sure loved that car. I was amazed that I could fit a year's worth of college stuff in it every time I moved in or out of housing.

Blue '65 Mustang. My dad bought it at the garage where he worked for $400. 289 V8, auto, manual steering, power brakes, AM radio. I can't remember why I sold it.

It looked just like this:

1974 Chevy Malibu. It seated 6 comfortably and as many as 8 or 9 if some people sat on laps. It was a beautiful shade of baby diarhea yellow, it had a dent in every panel but the damn thing would still be running if it hadn't rusted off the frame.

Long live the Chevy 350!
