My first post was on Aug. 14th, 2002, in the thread titled "Your Favorite Buffett-isms."
Here is my post:
1)IF IT ALL FALLS DOWN, I have had my fun and bought a round

2)I'm light years behind the age they call stone

3)I wanted more than one until I found the one I wanted

4)I've been too long on the mainland

5)I used to go crazy for days at a time, now I'm taking my time with my days

6)BRING BACK THE MAGIC, don't make life so tragic

(actually, that wasn't my first post, but it's the earliest one I can post here without a posse coming here from New England and stoning me to death

May 7, 2004 1:37 am Post subject: Who's Comming To Atlanta

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Never been to an Atlanta show before ... What happened to Nashville this year??? anyway --- Got Chicago in August but trust me guys when I say ... we do party harder in the South (No offense to any mid-westerners) so I couldnt miss a show in my "own backyard" --- Obviously never been to HiFiBuys in Atlanta --- BUT after the Tweeter Center disappointment in Chicago last Aug. I'm scared of lawn sections now (after all these years cause their lawn had no dim lighting -- walked around for half the concert trying to find my way back to my group from the bar/restrooms) and was farther from the stage than I've ever seen anywhere) been as close as third row in past but we all know how much the ticket brokers violate us on seats like those ... anyhow, doin some ebay bidding -- Is the lawn at HiFi's reasonable or IN ALL HONESTY should I spend a "little bit more" just to have a seat I can find ... What do you Atlanta Vets say??? BTW --- what will all these famous tents look like (w/Rick and Cuervo) 8) 8) 8)

NOOOOOO! I'm going to be in Montana then.
I always count on Jimmy between June and August not April. This may mean I'll miss my first show in Atlanta in 9 years. Please let this just be a bad rumor (
I was just asked the last time I was out to Big Sky Country... I am not seeing the horror. :D

I started in the concert listening threads, as I think a lot of us did:

9/01/2001 - Mansfield MA

Heard 'Tequila' at the WPB show ... yes, it's the old song. I wasn't all that impressed.
I like it when the man SINGS. Lyrics are always the best, even for songs he didn't write
himself. He just knows what's good!
I definitely LOVE 'If I Had a Boat' especially the Lone Ranger verse!
(And, yes, I know that's not the correct spelling of 'Desdemona')

Hhmm... All STILL TRUE! :D

Found it:
Right after the Columbus show in May, 2004
Hi,

New poster here. Not sure what etiquette is here. Was wondering if

a) anyone recorded the full first half of the CMH show from RM
b) if it would be possible to get a copy of that?

I ask for one reason: My folks were at the show with us, their first direct exposure to the phun and madness. I was hoping to give them a full copy of the show to commemorate the trip for the show.

Feel free to flame me to cinders if I stepped over the line on this one.

Are we going to have RM pictures tonight? If so, do you know where to find them?
Thanks

I was asking about RMTV---it was great, but in 2001 the plug was pulled

It looks like this was my first post, about three weeks after I joined BN, and after getting back from Jimmy's first Columbia, S.C., concert in about 20 years, back in 2003. This is one of the top ten threads, AND it was locked!

HELL OF A SHOW!!

I should know, because I was there. Second set was probably the greatest hour and a half of live music I've ever seen.

Aw man, you got that right, Walrus. That second set was FANTASTIC! What a night. My parrotthed and I were on the fourth row behind the stage. Everybody was partying up there. We drove five hours to see it and it was worth every minute. Jillian's was pretty cool too. Anyone in the Columbia Parrothead Club, tell Jimmy "thanx for the beads; You're a sweetheart!"

P.S. How do I get a copy of the show on disk?
I met this guy named Jimmy at the bar Jillian's after the concert, and I admired his parrothead beads so much that he gave them to me ~~ and I was with my hubby, too! We were feeling no pain.

I just checked and it was over a year before I ventured out of Set Lists, Jimmy Buffett Discussion and News to explore the Social and Off Topic forums.

52 not bad---39 is amazing

looking back on it. I failed to realize that St. Somewhere got an 18 :o. 39 was nothing compared to 18, let alone 52.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

I've made it down to 23. I can ace every hole, but haven't put them all together yet.

I would have thought that with that many posts it would have been something like "In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth".
