Lacy things, the wife is missin'CaptainP wrote:Bob Rivers~"Walkin' Round In Women's Underwear"
Didn't ask, her permission
I'm wearin' her clothes
Her silk pantyhose
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
In the store, there's a teddy
Little straps, like spaghetti
It holds me so tight
Like handcuffs at night
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
In the office there's a guy named Melvin,
He pretends that I am Murphy Brown
He'll say, "Are you ready?" I'll say, "Whoa Man!"
"Let's wait until our wives are out of town!"
Later on, if you wanna
We can dress, like Madonna
Put on some eyeshade
And join the parade
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
Lacy things- missin'
Didn't ask- permission
Wearin' her clothes
Her silk pantyhose
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear
Walkin' 'round in women's underwear

I havent heard that one before.MonumentBeach wrote:It just wouldn't be Christmas if I didn't hear the Crypt Keeper's "Deck the Halls with Parts of Charlie" at least once!
Thats always on the local radio station's list of worst Christmas songs.
I like Bill Engvals Heres your Christmas sign
Somethings stuck up in the chimney
I saw Daddy kissing Santa Claus
12 days of a redneck christmas by Jeff Foxworthy
Chipmunks roasting on an open fire
Not real traditional I guess
I am no longer fighting my inner demons. We are on the same side now.

That song is awesome JahJahfin wrote:Anyone mention Robert Earl Keene's "Merry Christmas from the Family" yet? I don't mind hearing that one at least once a year as long as it's not on John Boy and Billy where I have to hear all of their guffaws throughout the song.
Mom got drunk and Dad got drunk
At our Christmas party
We were drinkin' champagne punch
And homemade eggnog
Little sister brought her new boyfriend
He was a Mexican
We didn't know what to think of him
Til he sang Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Brother Ken brought his kids with him
The three from his first wife Lynn
And the two identical twins
From his second wife Mary Nell
Of course he brought his new wife Kaye
Who talks all about AA
Chain smokin' while the stereo plays
Noel, Noel, The first Noel
Carve the turkey turn the ball game on
Mix Margaritas when the eggnog's gone
Send somebody to the Quik-Pak store
We need some ice and an extension cord
A can of bean dip and some Diet Rite
A box of pampers , some Marlboro Lights
Hallelujah everybody say cheese
Merry Christmas from the family
Fran and Rita drove from Harlingen
I can't remember how I'm kin to them
But when they tried to plug their motor home in
They blew our christmas lights
Cousin David knew just what went wrong
So we all waited on our front lawn
He threw the breaker and the lights came on
And we sang Silent Night
Oh Silent Night o' holy night
Carve the turkey turn the ballgame on
Mix Bloody Marys cause we all want one
Send somebody to the Stop 'n Go
We need some celery and a can of fake snow
A bag of lemons and some Diet Sprite
A box of midol, some Salem Lights
Hallelujah everybody say cheese
Merry Christmas from the family
Trying to Take Another Road

I remember standing in a crowd of college kids, hippies, cowboys and other artists, and other old folks like me out at Luckenbach and singing that MCFTF at the top of our lungs on Labor Day one year.Jahfin wrote:Anyone mention Robert Earl Keene's "Merry Christmas from the Family" yet? Heck I even bought the book.

Favorite song is I'll Be Home For Christmas sung by Karen Carpenter.
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by James Taylor ranks up there.
Such a Night by Aaron Neville is great too.
My favorite song ever performed live at a show is The Grinch Song by Slaid Cleaves.
Next is Baby It's Cold Outside done live by Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis at Gruene Hall and on the CD Happy Holidays from Bruce and Kelly.
Time for some sleeps now and then surveying the Christmas CDs to start getting in the Christmas mood. It'll be here before we know it.
