My wedding ring is an antique from around the turn of the century (the 1900's, not the 2000's).
And my husband is from the early '40's

I have my Great Grandfathers pocket chronometer and his wedding band. He was the sailing master of the German ship 5 masted ship, Preussen. A grand and glorious ship in a dirty trade....Guanno.... Hamburg to Chile, round the cape with a load of Bat S--t! Good fertilizer..! Anyway the Chronometer is in the 1850's vintage with an outer case to keep moisture out.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:The oldest thing I own was passed down from my grandfather. It's a Navy navigation instruction book published in 1837. Priceless.

Lets just say that the pyramids seem really familiar and I feel a sense of pride when I see them. Oh, and the French Revolution was nothing like Les Mis. Trust me.CaptainP wrote:What kind of mileage?mings wrote:it's a loaner reallyCaptainP wrote:Did you get that new or used?mings wrote:ready for this one?...

remember... you still have to talk with them.. and explaining the 1970s fashions were a joke by people with a vicious sense of humour rather than cool retro to your date is just an exercise in silliness.ragtopW wrote:f2cdlzrd wrote:My husband...he's 52, I'm 29. Go figure.
