Favorite Album in 05?

As the year comes to an end and we look towards "06" I got to wondering over the weekend what was my favorite CD/Album in 05.

I might take a little heat for my fav. in 05 and it's "Be As You Are".

Whether you like him or not the music & writing of that cd mentally takes you on a journey to the Islands in the Caribbean. I'll admit I have never been a big KC fan, but I put aside my feelings for his previous music and listened to the cd as if he was a new artist and was sold on it.
It's an album I wish JB would record where most of the songs are ballads and have that laid back relaxed feel to it. Plus what also impressed me is the he wrote or co-wrote all the songs on the cd. Call him a wanna be or whatever, but he's done a mighty fine damn job!

What was your favorite in 05?

The album I have listened to most this year has been Jack Johnson's "In Between Dreams". Lately I have been listening to Neil Diamond's "12 Songs" a lot. Live at Fenway is a given. Shooter Jennings had my country fix this year. "Let's put the 'O' Back in Country" is a good country album. I didn't like the KC album much. Just my opinion though.

My favorite is Miranda Lamberts "Kerosene". Every song on it is good. This young girl has got some real talent. I'm hoping to catch her on tour with George Strait. But a close second is Blake Shelton " Barn and Grill". It's his best yet.

I'd like to ask very kindly that those of you that would like to chime in on your favorite releases direct your responses to this thread:

Not to mention, a thread about the best releases of 2005 really doesn't belong under "Jimmy Buffett Discussion" even though he did release Fenway this year (which is ineligible since it's a live album, same for comps).
