I really wish Sirius would bring back the vacation channel, or something similar to that format! I have sent comments via email.

I pay for DirecTV... I sure wish they'd get Sirius!

(haven't actually tried out the new XM stations yet)

Yeah I miss Vacation. It was the closest thing to my ideal radio station: non-stop island music, blending all the different island and island inspired sounds.

I don't understand why Radio Margaritaville replaced it. The two are not much alike at all.

I don't miss the Vacation Channel at all. I have no idea why RM replaced it, but it wouldn't make much sense to replace it with something in the same exact format.

Needless to say, I am quite happy with Radio Margaritaville and Sirius! I now have Radio Margaritaville/Sirius in 3 cars, at home via Dish Network (home theater) and at work via Sirius.com. It is everywhere I want it to be  :o 8)

I would not use the word "exact". The Vacation channel never played allot of the stuff you hear on RM. I would love to have both but I'm guessing it was part of the contract when they brought RM on the air to get rid of the Vacation channel.

What it all comes down to is the marketing battle between XM and Sirius with content and programming in the hunt for the all mighty $$$.

Some will be lured to Sirius for Howard Stern...what lured me in was NFL and Radio Margaritaville. Truthfully, if they dropped Radio Margaritaville, I would discontinue my service and go back to shuffling CD's.

I don't subscribe to sirius or XM, but this is my favorite channel on XM

They have some great programming on, especially during SxSW and ACL.
