Clearly mr. OC is the oldest thing I own. He might also qualify as oddest. I'm a saver. In my storage room, junk drawers and closests are probably a large number of odd things. Right now sitting behind my couch is a large, I believe, B-tank. I'm cleaning for Christmas so the h better get a new place for it. At my desk are assorted cords and chargers to things that no longer exist as well as a broken digital camera. Also some very outdated magazines and phone books. In my hall closet is an original, heavy metal set of those rubber bug making things. You know you plug it in, put stuff in the molds and you get rubbery creatures. But these plates are heavy metal and have fallen on my feet before. I"m sure I'll think of much odder things.
Oh in the kitchen a blooming onion kit, a weird wire taco shell maker, some odd shaped cake pans, an egg cuber, and some other odd things.

I can't bring myself to throw this one away. I'ts really become like one of the family. Plus, it doesn't stink at all, and it's so shriveled up that it doesn't take up much space.OceanCityGirl wrote:shouldn't they come in pairs?
I have a bag of suspiciously soft apples on the counter and mystery veggies in the fridge. I'm starting baking tomorrow so i'm planning on cleaning the fridge too.

Oddest thing I own? Well, remember YOU ASKED.
I pair of thin nylon knee socks that are blue and red striped. I got them when I was in high school ("x" decades ago!). I was big into showing horses at the time, and they were the only socks I had that were thin enough to fit comfortably under my riding boots. They turned out to be my "lucky" socks. They'd probably disintigrate if I tried to put them on now, but still, I keep them.

Several years ago, I had 2 siamese fighting fish. When one died I put it in a beer bottle full of water and sealed it. The other one died a short time after, and I put him in there too. It is their tomb. Well, they dissolved into little flakes. Now when you shake the bottle, it looks like one of those holiday snow shaky-thingamabobbers.

How much would it take for you to drink the bottle? We could take up a collection.Burny Charles wrote:Several years ago, I had 2 siamese fighting fish. Too bad you didn't know ahead of time the outcome and you could have built a little underwater Atlantis scene for the dead fish flakes to fall on....
