Here you can discuss any other artist including Sunny Jim, Todd Snider, Jerry Jeff Walker, Steve Goodman, James Taylor, Alan Jackson, Bob Marley, Kenny Chesney and others
And yet the whole Jolie / Pitt romance (or whatever it is) makes me gag.... I think its because I am in a firm believer of ending one chapter before starting another one.... which is what appears to be in Garth and Trisha's case.

You should listen to some of his stuff... Shameless is the most heart wrenching song...... *sigh** And Trisha aint too bad herself... I love her duet with Don Henley...Inside Out.

Garth is just a local boy made good..he used to play all the local bars, Eskimo Joes, etc..around Stillwater, Ok.
Just not a big fan of country music or bars that play country music..and Oklahoma is full of them...several of the big names are from Oklahoma...
I rarely see cowboy hats here.. or those hideous gigantic belt buckles....thank god!
Trisha didn't seem to have that twang that makes me not like country music...I'm just real particular about the country music I listen to...
Never have my radio on any country stations...
When it goes from full to crescent...I move in and out of tune...Everlasting Moon....

Your observation has merit.... remember summer camp.... or a project you worked on with a team of people.... or a drama production in school.... there are always romances when you get a group of people commited to something and pour all their energy into it for a period of time. I would think that if someone was in a relationship with a person outside that group it would have to be pretty strong to endure.
Good for them. I just told mr oc that we've been seeing alot of Garth lately. I was wondering if he might be planning on coming out of retirement or needed money again.

His daughters are getting older...he said the only reason he retired was to spend time with them.... Maybe he is preparing for the empty nest time of life....

You dont have to like Garth's music to appreciate what he did to mainstream country music ...as for the wedding....
Will it effect my daily life? No? Do I enjoy a good love story?...you bet!
This prawn likes all music, (Garth chills with Tupac in the ipod) but I think it's more the celebrity wedding crap - Would they care if I married someone? Probably not as long as I bought an album by either of them.

I just heard an interview yesterday where he said nope, he wasn't coming out of retirement until his girls were grown and gone. He said that the Chris LeDoux tribute, GOOD RIDE, COWBOY, was just too good to pass up, but he wasn't going back on the road...
