I don't think they have ever been "invited." I wrote to Alex today to find out who schedules the bands to see who we need to bombard with e-mails to get them there in 2006! If Johnny gets wind of this, we won't be able to get his head through the door! Another thought is to get them to play M'ville for the week of MOTM. Seems they are usually the M'ville house band for a week in August. Maybe they could go to KW a few months later this year! :D

From your lips to the 'MOTM musician-scheduler's' ears.
And that might not be such a bad idea (kissing the scheduler's ears).
Anything to get Johnny and his crew there in 2006!!!! :D

Just had a thought. Johnny (and the entire band, if necessary) could promise to wear thongs when performing.
How about that, think that would sweeten the deal?
:wench: :wench: :wench: :D

Johnny needs no encouragement   Isn't it enough we have to see his tummy when he plays "Fat Guy in a Hawaiian Shirt"? I was thinking maybe we could have an auction for charity to see who would bid the most to get him to keep his shirt on during Fat Guy! I'm thinkin' my bail money might have to go for that

There are some people who have to be at their jobs the first few days of the month and make it utterly impossible to go to MOTM and they really want to go (long time parrothead)....just curious.
Hey Nicole- I think what we really need is to get the Beach Bums to play MOTM. Then you would just have to contract the "intentional flu" for the week, call in and come join us!
It's not me actually, it's BadHabits. In his line of work, the first few days of the month no matter where he's at is when it all happens. Hmmmm.....

M'ville usually has their music schedule in stone before Jan. 1 of the following year.

well... you could go for the "short-term loss/long-term gain" and start working on getting them there as the House Band for Nov. 2007

Got a response from Alex today, who says Johnny would need to send them a press kit and a CD. Alex says 2006 is filling fast, but as R2 said, we could work on 2007! I forwarded the info to Johnny, so it's all up to him at this point. :D

Well, let's put it this way, you were right about the Amex Black card. As for this discussion, let's say your point was valid...
