Ok, between the deformed eyeball fish and Larry's comment about sitting bare assed on ice, I just don't know which I'm laughing at more.

And I'm not laughing at the fish, just the way the comment sounded

Well hopefully this will work out. I don't see the cars yet, so I'm guessing neither of them are home yet. I don't see the dog out, either, but he could be in the back yard. I can't quite see back there past the house next to me.

It's currently 23 degrees outside, but it feels like 15.
I just called my dog in from the yard.
I had to call him several times because he didn't want to come in,
and I damn sure wasn't gonna walk out there to get him.

When it's sunny and 75 degrees outside he won't stay out for more than 15-20 minutes. But on a cold windy day (or night) he will find a patch of snow to lay upon and stay outside for hours. He has a thick black coat and a little extra "insulation"

He also likes to make "snow angels" in freshly fallen snow.
When he gets up he is covered in snow, which bothers him not at all.

I think he's weird.

Nah, that's exactly what my shelties used to do. They would spend hours running and diving in the snow. They loved it! They would jump on each other, wrestle and roll around. Summer, no deal. The less time they spent outside the better.

My dog now spends the absolute minimum amount of time outside at all possible unless there's at least 8 inches of snow and he can burrow through it. I think he's just mostly lazy. :)

I have a 85 pound black lab who is just a big old baby. He refuses to go outside in the rain and play or use the bathroom but when it snows or ices like it is doing now, he is at the door barking up a storm wanting to go out and play in it. Maybe it is the Lab in him I am not sure.

We left him at my FIL this past weekend and it was in the 20's. He has 2 other dogs in a quarter acre pen with insulated dog houses lined with hay. Our nut job dog didn't go into the dog house to sleep until the wind started blowing and it got dark. As soon as the sun came up at 7am when it was 15 degrees there he was outside barking at deer running through the yard.

We picked him up sunday and he didnt want to go home even though he is an indoor dog 85 percent of the time.

I hope someone ended up taking the dog away from those wacko neighbors of yours. I am not very PC or polite when it comes to A-hole neighbors either. We have some of our own right now we have to deal with.

Wow this is a great thread. Sy....nice work!

I have 2 labs and it is really aggravating to hear about people who have absolutely no business owning pets. If these people can't handle having pets...you wonder how they can put up with having kids too.

We should post some pictures of our pooches somwhere also.

He's sleeping on the bare basement floor, where it's 10 degrees cooler than up here next to this computer...

...oh, you mean that dog. Sorry.
