Thats the dreaded thread die that I post right before a thread dies.

Actually I think that's a pipe threader, but it's close enough for governement work

I'm sure it could thread a pipe, but its a die isnt it?

Generally, dies are round, and have a bolt thread (eg. 1/4-20, 1/2-16) stamped on them. The shape and the "1/8" stamp on that (1/8 is a pipe thread size, not bolt thread), tell me is a small pipe threader. But like I said before, certainly close enough

Yeah close enough I guess. BUt it usually works pretty well on the BB, and I think its clever.
