That is a great song Larry. Its quite an old song and so many people have covered it over the years. Thre were a bunch of dead teenager songs from that era and you picked one of the best.
I do have a version of Steve Goodman covering that song live.

I googled Tell Laura I Love Her - it was written by Jeff Barry and someone named Ray Peterson had a #1 hit with it
