With Howard Stern moving over to Sirus next month there is a lot of satellite radio talk in the news. AOL has a poll asking "Who would be the most appealing to listen to" Jimmy Buffett is an option? Right now he comes in at 3rd most appealing behind Howard Stern and Ellen DeGeneres. Scroll down about 1/2 way to find this poll, look for the "Stars on Satellite " heading.

Yeah, I saw that but when you click on the photos to the left under Buffett's photo it says "Jimmy Buffett broadcasts "Radio Margaritaville" for Sirius" so I find the question somewhat misleading. Some of the folks (Petty, Dylan, DeGenerate) actually host shows but Buffett doesn't.MikeInNOLA wrote:The questions are:Jahfin wrote:Why is Buffett an option, I know about Radio Margaritaville on Sirius but does he actually host anything on there?

Anyway, my answer would be "none of the above". While it may be appealing that one of my favorite performers might be hosting a show, it's the music itself I would tune in for.

A once per week "Semi-True Stories" type show by Jimmy would be a nice addition to RadioMargaritaville.Jahfin wrote:Yeah, I saw that but when you click on the photos to the left under Buffett's photo it says "Jimmy Buffett broadcasts "Radio Margaritaville" for Sirius" so I find the question somewhat misleading. I'd have no problem with that but I'm already an XM subscriber.MikeInNOLA wrote:A once per week "Semi-True Stories" type show by Jimmy would be a nice addition to RadioMargaritaville.Jahfin wrote:Yeah, I saw that but when you click on the photos to the left under Buffett's photo it says "Jimmy Buffett broadcasts "Radio Margaritaville" for Sirius" so I find the question somewhat misleading. I have both XM and SIRIUS. I love them both. I'm not sure I could choose between the two if I had to.
