Delaney Talks to Statues on DC's 104.1

Post by nomad »

I guess I forgot about the request a thon that I posted a few weeks back. On my way home from work I here Delaney Talks to Statues when I turn the radio on. Really freaked me out, I thought my cd or tape player was doing something funny. Is the guy that requested it out there somewhere?

That is the one song I wish I could ehre Jimmy do live, but I think the chances are remote. hearing it on the radio would have freaked me out also.

I'd love to hear it live, too. I named my daughter Delaney after that song.

It's too bad that they only live version around is the Sag Harbour acoustic from '00 or '01.

That's the one song my mother always cries too, and she can never remember the name so she sings it.... I love that I'm turning my mom into a parrothead :D

Well I named my daughter Delaney because it is a beautiful name...but I had never heard it until that song. We held it for 7 years waiting to name our girl that and thankfully we had a daughter and got the chance!!

Even my son calls that song "Sissy's song"...

It was the opposite for me...I hadn't really heard of that name (at least not consciously) until that song. I liked the name anyway, but more than anything, I loved what the song represented and why JB wrote it.

We weren't expecting a daughter and thus hadn't decided on a girls name, so when she popped out, we had to make a game-time decision!!
