Nice find

Post by Lundah »

So I was shopping today, looking at Half Price Books for gifts, and stopped to browse the CD's. What was the first one I saw? Margaritaville Cafe - Late Night Menu. Only $5!

Do you mean Late Night Live? If so, great deal! I listen to that one all the time! Club Trini plus Buffett....Nice mix!

Found this CD at a used record/tape/cd store. Awesome CD....cover to cover verrrry entertaining. Love the Amy Lee/Nicky Yarling stuff, Fingers getting a cool groove going and my introduction to the "Sauce Boss" Bill Wharton which led to catching him live! YES!!

Hmmm...I have this lying around, and really never listened to it. Guess I'll have to give it a go.

That's a really nice find, especially since it's now out of print.

And I can't understand that one bit :-? If they can re-release Rancho Delux, why not MC-LNM?

If I'm not mistaken, Rancho Deluxe wasn't released by Buffett's label at the time (ABC-Dunhill) but by Universal. I don't know all the ins and outs but I never understood why the Late Night Menu series went out of print to start with unless it had something to do with the dissolution of Margaritaville Records.
