Jimmy songs running together in your head....?

Post by Quiet and Shy »

It seems music is always going through my head. And, Since "Christmas Island" is in the current rotation, those songs are right up front. Well, I was doing whatever and the following happened...

"Ho, ho, ho and a bottle of rhum, Santa's run off to the Caribbean"

and then this followed:

"No aliens, psychopaths or MTV hosts scare me like vampires, mummies and the holy ghost."

:o :o :o

I figured one could stretch for a "holy ghost" link in the two songs, but the thought of vampire elves and mummy reindeer was kind of scary.... And then I realized that musically, the two songs actually do have very similar choruses. (Phew!  )

So, has anyone else had this happen with other Buffett songs?

For some reason, I have problems with the intro music to Cheeseburger in Paradise and the intro music to Fins. I will hear the music to Cheeseburger and start singing, "She came down from Cincinnati..." Very strange, but then I have been hitting the eggnog pretty hard.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.

this is funny, my brother just went to Ft Lauderdale and I told him to take some JB CD's and really get the feel while he was there. After talking to him when he got back he said he didn't play any CD's since he couldn't get Come Monday out of his head. He said it's like having your own CD player in his head. As for me the Wino and I know, perticularly the line "Living on things that excite me, be they Lobster, Pastry or Love" .

Ok, I got one for you all. I had a song running through my head this morning around 4 am while trying to sleep and couldn't get it out of my head. Now that's bad. But the bad thing is now I cant remember it. Have you ever been kept awake due to a JB song running around you head?
