would anybody here be interested in doing a book exchange. We could swap favorite reads from time to time. Let me know if you are all interested and i'll work on setting it up.

Ooh I would definitely be interested in this. I have a better chance in sending books back and forth than actually getting to the book store or library :)

I have alot of books sitting around here. We would have to decide whether people want to post the list of books for exchange or do a blind exchange where we swap names and don't know what we will get.

I could go for either, I'll pretty much read anything, but maybe if there was a list of at least genre. Someone who hates romance novels might not want to waste time getting one.

I hate romance novels. I like mystery books with a hint of romance in them.

That sounds like a great idea! :D :D What if we list a few books we're willing to lend out and then people can request one that interests them or say "surprise me"...? It can become our "Love in the BN Library" thread.

ok so you guys want to post and swap? I wasn't really concerned about getting my books back but if you want to return books that would broaden what i'd post. I'd rather just swap and not worry about it or re-post the item for somebody else to read.
We can create lists of things we have to share. People can just on their own claim a book and exchange addresses. I'd like it to work out even so everybody shares a book and gets a book.

I'm willing to share the Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) I get from publishers.

Ya'll interested?

I'll post the author, title and a little bit about them and ya'll can have them on a first-come, first-serve basis. I usually donate them to the library, but sharing them with ya'll would be more fun!

Yeah, we can just send them out without the return clause, too. Either way is fine for me. I'm happy to play! :D

Love in the BN Library sounds great. Maybe oceancity can change the thread title.

I'm not interested in getting the books back that I send out-- if anyone even wants them, but this can work either way.

Oh Oh I want in...do I post the list here or in pm...

Do we specify if we want them back? Most I wouldn't care as I have multiple copies, but some are autographed and stuff...

I'm open to suggestions on how to do this. We can post our lists here and people can choose on their own. Or people can pm me their lists and i'll just pick a book at random for everybody. In order to swap do we need to give and take books between the same two people?
Either way yes you need to say if you want the book back. I figure most of my books I don't want back. Some i'd like back but won't be crushed if I don't get them back.
