Dungy's son, 18, found dead in Tampa suburb

James Dungy, the 18-year-old son of former Bucs coach Tony Dungy, was found dead this morning in his USF-area apartment.

Hillsborough County deputies arrived at the Campus Lodge Apartments at 1:32 a.m., where Antoinette Anderson, the girlfriend of James Dungy, had found his body, according to the sheriff's office.

A deputy performed CPR on Dungy before he was transferred to University Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death is pending autopsy, though law enforcement officials have ruled out foul play.

Aside from James, Tony Dungy and his wife Lauren have son Eric and daughters Tiara, Jade and Jordon.

What an awful tragedy. Tony Dungy is such a pillar in our community. This will have a terrible impact on our community.

Thats what our local radio reports.......... but of course no official word yet....

Wow... I remember this kid on the sidelines.... he was a permenant fixture as Tony's "cord" boy.

our news is saying suicide. he was so young.

Hard to believe and how incredibly sad. I've never heard a bad word about Dungy or any of his kids here in Indy...what a loss to a good family.

Anyone could have posted that and attached his name to it..... And without any proof, why post this here?
