Margaritaville in Spanish

Post by A1A BOUND »

Does anyone have the version of Margaritaville that Jimmy sings in Spanish? It was given out as a single with the purchase of a bottle of Margaritaville tequila. If so, can someone please pm me and email it to me? Thank you!!!!!!

MARGARITAVILLE
Barreta Buffett

Nibblin ' en la torta de esponja,
watchin ' que el sol cuece al horno;

Caminado en una tapa del estallido;

That's not quite what Freddie sang last night in the chorus...(the translation you've got there is way too literal)...but I can't remember it exactly. All I know is the chorus is a very good translation.

Those lyrics are nothing like the ones on the Pitcher Perfect recording.

I don't know Spanish at all, but very few of the words I hear look like the ones you have in Spanish here????

If I can get a copy of the recording (R2?), I can probably write out the Spanish lyrics for you. My Spanish is good, but my memory is bad...that's why I can't remember the lyrics as he sang them last night! :oops: :lol:
