Oops... I've had a bad year so far medically....

We bumped our trip from Spring Break to Thanksgiving week.

Staying at Pop Culture
Park Hopper passes
Should we get the meal thingy?
Are you talking about Character meals, or a meal plan?
Yes! :D

haha...

well, if you haven't been there in a while, a Character Meal is great... there are quite a few to choose from, and it's best to make reservations for them 6 months in advance... there are also some cool dinner shows too... we have never used any type of meal plan and been fine... food courts are your cheapest bet, there is at least one good place at every park, plus I'm sure Pop Century has a great one too. If you rent a car, it helps to stop at a grocery store or a Wally World before you get "on-property" and get some cereal for the morning and some assorted snacks to save a little cash.

Get a guide book and read, read, read...

Then plan, plan, plan each and every day...

What day to do which park and what attractions in which order... what day to do character breakfast, lunch or dinner, etc. It really makes it easier, and besides the reading builds the anticipation!

I don't think they ever close, except for during the night. But, if I recall correctly, you could be like Vanna and have Thanksgiving dinner with Topless!!

They're breaking her in by hostessing phlockings every couple months... I think she'll be a regular attraction that they'll shuttle people to by this summer! :D

Hello everyone! Enjoying reading the tips. I'm going to be in Orlando during the week after Easter. My daughter is participating in a band competition at Universal Studios. We've been to Disney and one of the Universal Parks before and LOVED them. Since she is out of school, we are going to go earlier than the rest of her peeps and do some things on our own. She is 13 yrs old. I was thinking we would do Epcot. Any other suggestions? (and of course I'M going to Margaritaville, she'll like it too)

Epcot has gotten a lot better. Test Track and Mission Space are awesome. :D The only thing is that Test Track closes when it rains because a portion is outside. The Circle of Nations or whatever it's called is also pretty cool---good food. The American Experience is pretty cool (at least for us history buffs it is  ) and the ride at Norway is kinda like a mini-Splash Mountain. I know I'm forgetting something. Spaceship Earth isn't really that exciting, though it's pretty funny to see what Walt Disney envisioned what today would be like. Best of luck to the keet and have phun! :D 8)

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Oh, I do. I guess some people (bouncers) just think I look a lot younger!

I won't leave it in the room, or bar this time!

It would be great to meet, not whatever else everyone always says, other likeminded people from here. I've been lurking a while, never met any BNers, but I would really like to. Shakerofsalt, you also have a child competing in the band stuff? I'm thinking it will be really crowded but then again, it's always been crowded when I've visited Orlando.
