Actually, I am seriously looking into it... they have a program for education that I would love to get into! Was the process very selective?job41475 wrote:Did you ever do WDWCP. i know myself, Mings and Habourgirl on here have. if you haven't I highly suggest it Prrthd1987prrthd1987 wrote:OK I am the biggest Disney nut you have ever met... what do you need to know?

I'd sooooooooooooo stay on the Disney property if you can. We were only at Disneyland for 2 days and stayed at a good neighbor hotel that was actually a little closer than the actual property hotels, but if I could do it again, I'd stay on site for the full experience.Tiki Bar wrote:I started looking and got overwhelmed!job41475 wrote:I worked in Disney World for all told about 8 years, beginining when I started college until about 2 years ago. We hope to stay on Disney property so as not to rent a car... don't know much more than that!
I think it depends on what you're willing to do. If you go in there saying I will only be attractions at Magic Kingdom then it will be tough. if you go in with a positive attitude and outgoing personality saying you're be willing to do custodial, Merch, whatever then you should be fine.prrthd1987 wrote:Actually, I am seriously looking into it... they have a program for education that I would love to get into! I have stayed at the polynesian hotel at Disney, it was really cool. I dont know how much your willing to spend, but if it turns out to be a bit expensive, there are tons of hotels just outside of the parks that are within a few minutes driving distance as well.Tiki Bar wrote:I started looking and got overwhelmed!job41475 wrote:I worked in Disney World for all told about 8 years, beginining when I started college until about 2 years ago. There are last time i checked 17 hotels. They are either value ( All Stars, pop century), Moderate ( Port Orleans, Carribean Beach, etc.) and deluxe ( Grand Floridian, Yacht/Beach, etc.) There are also other classifications as in Home away from home ( villas) but those are the basics.Tiki Bar wrote:I started looking and got overwhelmed!job41475 wrote:I worked in Disney World for all told about 8 years, beginining when I started college until about 2 years ago. No offense, but I know a few of my friends who are Tourism and Travel majors, and they did the program and honestly hated it. They said they ended up working a ride and pushing a start and stop button, and wondering how that is going to help them gain experience in the Tourism field. The only good thing they said is they got their foot in the door and made contacts. So I guess thats good...job41475 wrote:I think ti depends on what you're willing to do. The Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Contemporary are on the monorail which is easy access to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.job41475 wrote:There are last time i checked 17 hotels.
