What a night! Such a cool place. He ended the show by thanking us and calling me "mike the spike with his finger in the dike". So I guess thats what Ill be known as from now on. Then they told me to come back in Thursday. So I officially got it!!

I have to call and find guests for the show, arrange callers, find audio clips for the air, research stats callers bring up, etc.

It was actually real neat. Last night they were teaching me how to listen to like a long interview and edit out and clean up like 10 second audio clips. I ended up putting together like 2 clips and my producer said with practice they will eventually use clips like these on air in sports flashes and stuff. So I thought the clips I was practicing with would be thrown away or something. But today Im eating lunch and The Big Show comes on air and the first thing that hits the air is a Mike Vrabel clip I put together last night! I almost fell off my chair. I go back in tomorrow night so hopoefully thing keep going well.

Well done 338. My Dad had a Sports show on WHDH Radio "Voice of Sports" in Boston a Long..Long..Long time ago. I was lucky to be able to go to the studio with him for a lot of the shows and had a blast with the peeps that worked there. Sounds like you're going to fit in nicely.

haha I wouldnt call it my show... yet

. Just kiddin ... but I'll be in from 7 to midnight tomorrow and then once I get my class schedule Ill get a set schedule.

That was funny. mike has no problem makin fun of us on air. it's a very fun place to work. now I get the weekend off and will be back at it Tuesday night.

No it's not a paid internship. My producer says the unwritten rule is you intern for around 6 months to a year and then get a paid job producing or something like that. I hope to do that but the main thing for me if the experience because I want to do something in the boradcasting industry so this is real great experience.
