WEEI internship... knock on wood

Im a communications major at Stonehill College and have always hoped to someday work in the broadcasting/media industry. The other week my friend who works at WEEI in Boston told me they were looking for an intern. He put in a good word for me and tonight I get to go into the studio with my friend and if all goes well then starting next week I'll be the new intern for the Mike Adams radio show on WEEI. That also means that when Sox season starts I'd be working on the postgame shows after each game. This would be a dream come true for me so any prayers would be much appretiated

And if all goes well I'll be able to get any fellow BN'ers in the Boston area to the front of the phone lines if you want to rant about anything on the air.

No he is a behind the scenes guy. He worked for Ted Serandis until he left the station and now does the Mike Adams show. So other than the occational few words on air he doesnt do much talking.

One of the cool things I look forward if I get it would be when I go in for the Mike Adams show I would be able to catch the end of the Big Show and I've always wanted to see the Weiner Whiner line in person. I alwasy thought it would be hilarious.

p.s. Thanks for all the kind words guys!

I dont want to make waves early on but the temptation will surely be there. I wanted to jump through the TV screen Sunday when he was bashing Flutie.

Best of luck!! I listen to EEI to and from w*rk daily. Mike Adams is much more enjoyable to listen to than Ted Serandis.

Actually, forget Mike Felger... Ted Serandis is the guy that I would really, really, really like to punch in the face!! I couldn't stand that putz!! Mikey was on the air for 2 months before I realized the <i>"intelligent"</i> one was gone.
