Disney Vacation Club

Anybody have ownership in DVC? From what I hear, it's worth it. I am saving up to make an investment after college and I feel that this is the way to go... any advice?

My aunt has it and likes it. I haven't heard anything bad about it. Go for it.

NOTM Dec 2005
"Oh all the money that e'er I spent, I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that I ever did, Alas it was to none but me.
And since it falls, unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, 'Goodnight and Joy be with you all.'"

I own in the DVC... it's fabulous! Highly recommend the investment, especially if you travel often. And what's great is you can trade your points to go all over the world really. You don't have to stick to just Disney, but I always do. Definitely worth it!!! I'm actually heading down there in 24 hours! WOO HOO!!

so what's it actually run? The website provided seems a little vague.....They say some people start with 220-260 points, but 1 week long vacation can run towards 200 points. Well if it costs you 3 thousand a year or so..... :-?

I have NEVER found a timeshare worth the money and Nicole and I go to those presentations quite often (you know for the free stuff)
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

I never thought why people hated them so much. If they're giving you free tickets to Universal or something like that, then just go and take a few hours out of your vacation and just say no and take your free stuff. Beats getting up waaay too early to get there before it opens to buy tickets so that you can get in early to hit the good rides before it gets crowded.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

If I was going to do any timeshare club it would be DVC. They are on the up and up while some companies aren't ( Not all of course). It's expensive but you can use your points all over the place...

Thanks for the input everyone! I know that any major purchase I make will be about 4 years off but I'm just trying to get the big picture :D
