Mother Teresa was also a Christian.

Daily Show: Headlines - Sharon Hospitalized
Unless God was force feeding Sharon knishes,
it was diet, age and stress that caused his stroke.

So let me get this straight. It wasn't age, being overweight for the past who knows how many years, and having one of the most stressful jobs in the world. It was clearly, God punishing Sharon for trying to restore peace to one of the most troubled areas in the world and to keep his people safe.   It amazes me that he still has such a following. :-?

Pat Robertson may say some pretty outrageous things, but you know what scares me more?

This man is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Religious Right, and he also enjoys access to the man in the Oval Office, courtesy of the votes he delivers at election time.

Food for thought . . . Pat Robertson has friends in high places, and I don't mean God!

In Biblical times, when the prophets visited the king, the king shook with fear, he knew that the prophets would keep him in check. Now the prophets at the White House breakfast give a slap on the back and a "Way to go".

I can't take credit for it though, my evangelism professor said it today in class

well said.
In my lifetime, I've never witnessed such a pronounced union, not separation, between church and state. :-?
We can be thankful for our wisened forefather's constitutional mandate of checks and balances.

Interesting that the hack, Robertson, offered up an apology today.
With religious fundamentalist rants such as his, and while occupying a foreign land on false pretenses, it's a wonder we should hope
to maintain any such "moral higher ground" when dealing with any government in the Middle East :-?

The only reason he offered an apology was that Israel was about to scuttle an agreement allowing him to build a religious center in that country. It's more about the money than Pat realizing he needs to up his meds and apologize for being a moron.

IMHO, there's only two guys who really know why Pat Robertson apologized. And if I were Pat Robertson, I think I might be REALLY worried about what the other guy, aka the Big Guy, thinks...... :o

You missed the story in the paper yesterday? While I see your point, I am still willing to bet my last paycheck from the shop that Israel's statement that organizations in Israel were to do no more business with Robertson and his affiliated interests/companies was the vast majority among factors, not that he realized he was an idiot for saying something like that.

RR, I'm agreeing with you. :P And if this WAS the reason (and only God and Pat really know if it was) I think I'd be a little nervous if I were in Pat's shoes.
