I agree about the Bears/Panthers. Both have outstanding defenses, but the Panthers are more balanced on offense. I love Rex and he's got a lot of talent....but I don't think he has enough experience or talented players around him to get the job done. He needs better receivers.
and they don't have Walter Payton to turn to...

Don't compare us to Yankee fans, at least we root for a winning team :D
Wait until the Patriots revert to form. There will be a lot of broken legs up there from people jumping off the bandwagon.

I'm going with Indy, Pats, Charlotte and Seattle. Not sure if the Bears have enough offense.

They won 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls. They didn't win any of the first 35, that's what form is.

In the history of the Super Bowl only 17 teams have won at least once meaning 15 have never won, so a lot of teams have mastered that losing form.

The Patriots have the 4th best playoff winning percentage of all time. If that's reverting back to form, I will take it.

I think Indy will get by the Steelers, however, you have to wonder how much of a toll did the death of Dungy's son take from them. I know they have a job to do, but............

Before the Belichek/Brady years, when everyone jumped on the bandwagon, they were just another team. With the exception of a couple of years.

They were just another team before 2000, but you can say the same thing about 20 or so teams and probably still can for most of them.

They have sold out every home game (inc pre-season) since 1993 and have a waiting list 50,000+ strong since before 2000. So the bandwagon fans can be attributed to Parcells arrival 13 years ago. I guess the next question would be how long do you have to be a fan before you lose the "bandwagon fan" name?

A lot of NFL teams include preseason tickets in their season ticket package so it's not surprising meaningless games would sell out.

A lot of teams also have waiting lists for season tickets, even $hitty teams like the Jests.

You're sounding more like a Yankees fan with every post.

And the Packers have a waiting list that, if you put your name on it today, you'd project to get your tickets in 2043. This has been going on since the Packers sucked back in the 70s and 80s.

My confidence level for the Denver game is not as high as it was for last weeks Jags game. I still think the Patriots will win but if not they got me to within 4 weeks of pitchers and catcher reporting.

We are talking about a team that has to deal with a salary cap and seems to use their allowance much better than anyone else. The Pats cannot simply buy anyone they want, they have to actually work to field the best team.

I never predict well :) ... and it seems to jinx who I'm rooting for. :-?

So I'll just HOPE it's Denver, Steelers, Bears, Seattle. 8)

Why not? If Steelers don't give up the big play on defense, don't turn over the ball on offense, if they take the crowd out of the game... They can beat that Indy team. Why shouldn't I pick my team?
