It's at the corner of Thomas and Petronia streets, a block or two west of Duval.

I would have to disagree with Conch Republic Seafood. Yuck in my opinion. Here are my options:

Fine Dining
Camille's Restaurant
1202 Simonton Street

Alice's Key West Restaurant
1114 Duval Street

Lunch
Schooner Wharf Bar
202 William Street

Meteor Smokehouse
404 Southard Street

Turtle Kraals Restaurant and Bar
231 Margaret St
(best seafood enchiladas in the world)

Lunch at the outside bar at Mangoes--great people watching on Duval. When blasted & heading back to the Curry Mansion at night, I always grab a couple of slices of pizza with black olives from Angelina's Pizza.
Best morning breakfast: the best bloody mary from Rick's Tree Bar! :D

been there done that! and going back every chance we have (will only be there 4 days and since the Curry Mansion gives free breakfast we will either be going for dinner or lunch. But I did mention that in my oreiginal post at the top of this page. since you handle is ringling2x does that mean you mention everthing twice. Just poking fun :D . But hey wasn't there a character that did that? Either on the little rascals or the twilioght zone, not sure. Maybe that was in the brain cells I killed.
was mentioning it only because it is worth passing up a hotel breakfast.. :)

and I have no idea. I've been thru Ringling a few times, figured it made a good handle. I only stammer around cute redheads. :D
so what i need to ask is..... or are the other meals a BH just as good? The breakfast was so good that after we found the place we went back 3 days in a row. Indeed the best breakfast on the island.
Is the Blue Heaven on Duval, like 3 blocks up from the Southernmost Point and the Wydhams?
No, the Blue Heaven is on Thomas Street, but you need to go through the arch on Duval near the Bahama Village thingy and make a left if you are coming from the Southermost towards Sloppy Joes. Actually its at 729 Thomas Street I think it is at the intersection of Pertonia Street and Thomas. Just look for the roosters, oh nevermind that is the whole town :) .

Its aleady been said but I would like to reinforce it.
Pepe's for breakfast. It has great lunch and dinner, but for me, this is one of my favorite breakfasts in the world and my all time favorite in KW. Just my opinion.

Those Cuban Sammiches take the edge off an all-afternoon "drinkin' rum and smokin' cigars" event before you have to work security for the auction room, that's for sure. :D

What's the BN line on Louies' Backyard? I have read that it is the quintessential KW spot, right on the water. But I also read that the staff is very rude and blah blah blah..... But the food is great. They say go for lunch instead of dinner. Comments? Also I have read that the afterdeck is good for drinks before and after the night's out and aboot.

We stopped into Louie's afterdeck about 1-1/2 yrs ago for an impromptu drink around happy hour and had a very nice time. The drinks were good (didn't order bloody mary's though :-? ) as was the service. People seemed to be coming in after work but we were dressed very casual (bathing suits w/ cover-ups) and didn't feel out of place. The restaurant seemed to be a little fancier--the food smelled delicious.

In 04 a buddy and I went there and have no desire to go back.
We did not have dinner but did sit at the bar in the back for a few drinks.
The staff was not rude but a couple of locals at the bar were giving us a hard time about being parrotheads and trying to be funny with smart comments about our attire (tropical shirts). The place seemed kinda "pinky up".
I like the Blue Heaven better.
The only cool thing was some guy that was passed out in the sand next to the place

However, that was soured when I had put the pen I signed the bill with in my purse.. they litterally came running after me once I was out the door for their stupid pen. :-?

Yes, definitely go HUNGRY! Talk about a ton of food...
And it's not gourmet, but every time I've eaten there
it was certainly "good enough."
And it's the perfect spot to watch the Duval Crawlers.
Good spot to sit and rest up for other activities.
