Yes, definitely go HUNGRY! Talk about a ton of food...
And it's not gourmet, but every time I've eaten there
it was certainly "good enough."
And it's the perfect spot to watch the Duval Crawlers.
Good spot to sit and rest up for other activities.

I only ate at Fogerty's once, but I agree. Good stuff. And you're right, it's a great people watching spot.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

You'll just have to make another trip, like in November maybe, to get the rest in!
Keep track of your experiences and let us know if we steered you right. :D
And tell Bubba we said "hello!"

DINING

Post by GEED181 »

We like to start out at the Sunset pier at the Ocean Key Resort and with cocktails and appetizers and listen to Robert sing the Motown classics better that the originals on the pier..The Hot Tin Roof there has great views and great food...or try one of Bubba's favorites, Bagatelle a short distance away...Mangoe's was mentioned and is a favorite...Take the Hilton's shuttle out to Sunset Key and dine at Lattitudes at a table in the sand barefoot at waters edge, complete with tiki torches for that South Pacific feel...great food too.....

Our favorites are Oragami for sushi, PT Late Nights for good all-around food and sporting events (I just really like that place for some reason), Willie T's on Duval for creative, reasonable lunch-type food (very good dinners too). Blue Heaven of course for breakfast, the Crepe place for breakfast or a fast lunch. The mexican restauarant whose name I can never remember, about five blocks up duval and sorta near Willie T's for good Mexican.

i'm a vegetarian and both SO and self are very health conscious, so that's a prereq for all food.

I forgot about that place.
We loved the live reggae music and atmosphere, especially at night.
The coconut shrimp wasn't bad either

We went to Louie's Backyard for lunch, thought it was really good. Also really liked My Blue Heaven. Back in the day when we used to drive down on A1A, we'd come in on fumes, check in at the hotel, and go right to that pizza place below Rick's across from the Treetop bar. We'd get a pitcher of beer and a pie--and we'd be reenergized--ready to hit Duval Street.
