Dining Suggestion in Key West

My wife an I are going to KW in early March and were looking for some good dining spots. I have read lots about Louies Backyard both good and bad, so we will be going there for lunch not dinner. But we are looking for other local spots maybe on the water for a dinner for 2. Alices on Duval was very good and we are going back there, but other than the regular slop joints and tourist traps I am looking for suggestions. Also sincewe are getting breakfast at the Curry Mansion we will be doing the Blue Heaven for either lunch(s) or dinners(s), that would be multiples. I remebember seeing a place sort of like over Malory Square but not sure of it. I am also looking for a good seafood place as well.

Thanks,

Conch Republic Seafood is on the water and is a mainstay during MOTM.
El Siboney is a little harder to find, but is THE local place for Cuban food.

Ditto to both posts above! Conch Republic and El Siboney. YUM

If I remember correctly, Louie's lost the afterdeck, but the backyard was still up and running.

Pepe's on Mallory Square has great mojitos. The food looked and smelled good, but I haven't eaten there.

I'll second that, as well! The Pepe's on Caroline Street also does a great breakfast.

BO's Fishwagon on Caroline does great sandwiches.

Louie's Afterdeck is back up and running. I was there over Christmas/New Years. It looks very nice.

El Meson de Pepe, almost as good as El Siboney, twice the price.

Blue Heaven for breakfast is never a bad option either.

been there done that! and going back every chance we have (will only be there 4 days and since the Curry Mansion gives free breakfast we will either be going for dinner or lunch. But I did mention that in my oreiginal post at the top of this page. since you handle is ringling2x does that mean you mention everthing twice. Just poking fun :D . But hey wasn't there a character that did that? Either on the little rascals or the twilioght zone, not sure. Maybe that was in the brain cells I killed.

was mentioning it only because it is worth passing up a hotel breakfast.. :)

and I have no idea. I've been thru Ringling a few times, figured it made a good handle. I only stammer around cute redheads. :D

so what i need to ask is..... or are the other meals a BH just as good? The breakfast was so good that after we found the place we went back 3 days in a row. Indeed the best breakfast on the island.

Is the Blue Heaven on Duval, like 3 blocks up from the Southernmost Point and the Wydhams?
