Debbie is doing ok so far. She's off work for the summer, and she's planning to spend a lot of time at the pool and/or water parks with the boys.BuckeyeParrothead wrote:How are the preggo mamas doing in the heat? I am DYING!
And they are saying 91 for the Pittsburgh show on 6/6/06 (I guess I shouldn't expect anything less than hell-like temperatures on the day of the devil, huh?). I hope I don't melt!

Mrs. Play is 25 weeks today - time is flying!
Babycenter.com wrote:Week 25 - Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — doesn't sound like much, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. His hair is probably recognizable now (in color and texture), although both may change after he's born.

Here, you be the judge, does Kyle like to swim?

That's over the weekend at my parents' house. My nephew Alex is on the right. They had a blast. We inflated Kyle's pool at home but it must have sprung a leak in storage b/c I filled it in the morning to let the water warm up and by the afternoon, the water had spilled over the side!
They haven't opened the pool that is at the park directly across the street from us yet but I plan to take him as soon as they do! I think he'll love it.

We've got a pregpool set up at: http://www.pregpool.com/online/jaymiet/
We find out the baby's sex next week, and have decided for anyone wanting to know, we'll tell them after they've made their bet on the pool. Should make for a pretty interesting next couple of weeks for family and friends. Some have already used the term extortion. ;-)

She's big as a barn door and miserable. I know you must think I'm being mean that she's so big, but she'll be the first to tell you. At 21 weeks, she's as big as she was with Tanner at 40 weeks, and she lost all the weight from Tanner's pregnancy well before she was pregnant. It's been in the upper 80's, and I know she's miserable, and I feel bad for her...BuckeyeParrothead wrote:How are the preggo mamas doing in the heat? I am DYING!

I can relate, I am definitely bigger this time around and feel like my legs are 100 pound bricks that I am trying to walk on in this heat. I just hope I don't get the really bad swelling like I did last time. I looked like Princess Fiona from Shrek!
Well, you just take good care of her and let her rest up!

Thanks! I'll have the sonogram picts posted on my website as soon as I get a chance to get them scanned in. I went to the sonogram, definetly. I have been to just about every dr. apointment with her with Tanner and with this one. I think I missed only 1 so far and that was with Tanner, and that was due to a client emergency or something...Four Play wrote: Congratulations! That's awesome. Have you guys been hearing all this hoopla about how pregnant women are nervous about having their babies tomorrow since it's 06-06-06?
I've even seen women talking about how they would get induced earlier to avoid it! It's crazy! Besides, my son was born 7/11 and sometimes I see a little devilish streak come out of him!
Getting ready for my Buffett excursion tomorrow! First one where I will be pregnant and unable to enjoy my own mango banana daiquiris! But I will make myself a virgin and have a great time!

The whole 06-06-06 thing is ridiculous. Like others have said there was one in 1906 and 1806 etc. Our due date is 9/12, and the baby could very well be born on 9/11 - although I noticed noone has guessed that in our pool
We're certainly not inducing early to avoid it - if anything it would give us reason to celebrate instead of just remembering the tragedy on that day.
Have fun tomorrow, and take care of that baby!

Well I made it through my first pregnant Buffett experience! It was a great time. I mostly just sat around and drank virgin pineapple drinks thanks to fanvan, but it was fun! I actually saw quite a few other pregnant women there.
I was pretty wiped by concert time and did not want to brave the wet lawn so we ended up sneaking into the pavillion using other people's tickets! It was so good to be able to sit down!
Baby's doing well, went to the Dr. yesterday. Found out I will indeed have to have another c-section, so that's somewhat scary for me. My c-section with Kyle was not at all pleasant, but then again, it was not at all planned, so I guess this time has to be different, right?
How's everyone else doing?

I'm not an expert but at least you know what to expect this time. I do know that c-sections are becoming more and more common - something like one out of five births in the US now. I'm sorry you had trouble with the first one and I hope things will go better for you this time. Let us know when you schedule the appointment to have it done.BuckeyeParrothead wrote:Baby's doing well, went to the Dr. yesterday. Debbie is doing ok - well enough to go camping in the heat this past weekend. She was pretty miserable for a couple of hours Saturday evening, but she was fine the rest of the time. We hadn't been camping with the boys before, and it was a lot of fun. She even helped them catch a few fish!BuckeyeParrothead wrote:How's everyone else doing?

Debbie is 27 weeks today - here's our Baby Center update;
babycenter.com wrote:Your baby is really starting to fill up your uterus. This week he weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14.4 inches long with his legs extended. He can now open and close his eyes, and he sleeps and wakes at regular intervals. He may s*** his fingers, and although his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with assistance — if he were to be born prematurely. Chalk up any rhythmic movement you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and isn't bothersome to him, so enjoy the tickle. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now.
