Mr. Play wrote: I'm not an expert but at least you know what to expect this time. I do know that c-sections are becoming more and more common - something like one out of five births in the US now. I'm sorry you had trouble with the first one and I hope things will go better for you this time. Let us know when you schedule the appointment to have it done.

Debbie is doing ok - well enough to go camping in the heat this past weekend. She was pretty miserable for a couple of hours Saturday evening, but she was fine the rest of the time. We hadn't been camping with the boys before, and it was a lot of fun. She even helped them catch a few fish!
We have a trip to Lake Chautaqua planned for the 2nd weekend in September (the weekend after Labor Day). I hope I am not too much of a whale and can actually enjoy myself! I'm finding that I am getting worn out very easily!

I'm still not accepting the C-section thing. I don't know why. I am sending my operative report to my new doctor so she can look over why they had to do a C/S the first time. Maybe I won't have to after all. I think it's the fact that I will be in the hospital for 4 days away from Kyle and then won't even be able to pick him up or play too much with him that's making me not want to have another one. But I'll do what's best for the baby and for me. I just don't want to have another one just because. C-sections are actually done in 1 out of 3 births now! Isn't that crazy? Just watch one hour of Discovery Health's special delivery and you would think the majority were c-sections!

Anyways, glad to hear Debbie is doing well, hope tjtryon's wife is doing well too! Hmm...2 boys so far...statistically you would think that would mean I am having a girl, but we shall see....

My lovely wife is having a C Section done as well, just as she did with Tanner. She's not looking forward to it, but it's really not a big deal she says. She just will be hurting quite a bit for the first week or two, and her favorite part, I have to deal with everything...

She's got a bit of the "crud" this week, upset stomach, upper respitory, etc. It's a pretty nasty summer cold she thinks. Aside from that, all is great, aside from trying to deal with the heat. My lovely wife is not looking forward to temps in the 90s this weekend...

Regarding your trip to the lake, Jaymie was on the boat, 9 months preggers with Tanner last year. Not an ideal situation, just take it easy, and make sure you have the ability to get to a hospital if you need to. Murphy's Law says the second you are away from civilization and a good doctor/hospital, you'll go into labor, or you'll start feeling like you need to see your doctor...

Ugh, I just got back to work today after a very nasty bout with the stomach flu. It was awful. Still feeling pretty weak and tired today, but mostly better.
I don't know how much time my husband can get off to help me out, I'm thinking a week at most and that includes the hospital days. So I'm hoping the rest of my family can help out too.
And gee thanks for putting in my head now that I might go into labor while on our trip! :o I really hadn't thought about that! Well, my sister is a nurse and she will be there, so hopefully she will know what to do!
Definitely need to fill the kiddie pool back up for the weekend with the temps they are predicting!

Hot tub is set at 80. It makes for a cool evening treat in the hot weather, too bad I can't get the lovely wife in it. She says it makes her stomach float...

Nurse or not, if you have to have a C Section, you're gonna be in the hospital for a few days. A friend of mine was traveling at 36 weeks, was in Canada, and had their baby. She was stuck in Canada an extra few days longer than planned, plus there is the hastle of not having your own doctor, and having to pay out of insurance network rates for the baby to be born. By all means, travel and enjoy yourself, just make sure you have a contingency in case the baby wants out a week or so early.

Plus pregnant women aren't supposed to go in hot tubs anyways! Raises your body temp too high!

That's crazy! I will just hope and pray that doesn't happen! Luckily it's only PA not another country, but still! That would actually be 3 weeks early, so let's hope nothing happens!

This is not true. They are just not supposed to get into a hot tub that is warmer than body temp. Getting in 80 degree water will not raise your body temp, it'll actually cool you off...

Thought I would announce the pending arrival of #4.
Ms. Finattic is expecting on December 24th, 2006.
We will hopefully find out the sex in late July, early August...
#3 was a breeze (He just turned a year)...was already a pro at multi-tasking by that point.
Congrats to all the expecting parents.

I'm not sure if we should be posting in this thread given it's title...but the appropriate one hasn't been created yet, so this will do.

He said.... YOU'RE WHAT??!!!???

She said...... yup, pregnant.

He said...... OMG!!! How'd that happen???

She said... Do you remember that night about 6 weeks ago when you were showing off how you could.......

He said..... You got pregnant when I did that???

She said..... Yup!

Mermaid In Disguise and I have found out we're having our own 'keet the first week of January 2007. More specifically, the due date is on the 7th, my birthday! You can all imagine our shock. We just told our kids and the family this weekend. They're all very happy and supportive. My 'keet, Elizabeth Delaney has been busy all day making birth announcements to send to our family. She's anxious to finally have a brother or sister. MID's 2, Emily and Eric are also very excited. Then we had to tell our ex's, who took the news suprisingly well.

Enough news for now. We're hoping Jimmy does a fall show here in FL and we can have a combined pre-concert baby shower. Somebody put in a good word...ok?

THAT'S FINTASTIC - Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Finattic!
I've added a section to the first post for you. Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to change, or if you want me to add anything as time goes by.

Well, Congradulations!

This may also make my "job" at the September "Florida Phlocking" even better.

I am already seeing an upgrade from oranges to possibly mangoes!

Mrs. Play had her monthly appointment yesterday - so far, so good.
Colton kicked her in the belly pretty hard on accident a few days ago. It scared her at first, but everything seems to be fine.

Mrs. TJTRYON and my 13 year old have been feeling Toby kick for a few weeks now, but apparently he just doesn't like me. Mommy had to drink some juice to get him hyper before he'd kick for me yesterday...

Things are well here, aside from Mom's cold and a virus that my 1 year old is in the process of getting over (finally).

Congrats to all the "new families" here in this thread...
