That's tough - there are definitely sacrifices that come with having a new baby. Hopefully he'll see the benefits too.mermaidindisguise wrote:OMG! You are so lucky..... I kept nothing but the few favorite outfits for Eric and Emily. I am going to be hitting consignment shops for sure!!! We also are having a dilemma as to where the nursery will go. We thought we would make a room in the attic for my son and make itreally cool - with Nintendo and a computer/tv (kind of like a playroom for all the kids but his room to sleep in) Turns out my son is terrified of being in the attic and can't believe we are going to take away his room for the baby - YIKES!! Marsh and Greg Brady FOUGHT over who was going to get the attic bedroom! I am not sure what to do. There really is no other bedroom for the baby.... I need the TLC crew to come help me out!!!
We're in a 3 bedroom house but the boys have bunk beds and already share a room. For the first few weeks all I could think about was needing a bigger house, but then I realized that the kids will be ok with whatever we can provide. As long as they know that we love them and there is food on the table, everything else is secondary.

The good thing about having a 2 year old is that nothing has been put away really (well, the swing, high chair, and car seat are down in the basement, but easily accessible!).
We got lots of hand me downs from family too, so that helped a lot (the crib and the changing table especially! They are from when my sis-in-law had my nephew who is now 15 - but yes, they still meet all safety requirements!)
I have exactly 3 months left, so I guess it's time to start planning to move Kyle into his "big boy" room. His 2nd birthday is next Tuesday! We are having his party on Sunday! I can't believe 2 years has gone by already!

Congrats on the move toward equilibrium!
Kyle's 2nd birthday was yesterday. We had his party on Sunday. I can't believe I have a 2 year old and I am about to have another! Speaking of that, as of the last dr's visit, it sounds like September 26 will be our day! We haven't officially scheduled it yet, but that will most likely be the date of our child's arrival! It seems so much sooner than October 1! It's a whole different month!

Our first 2 are almost exactly 2 years apart, and it can be challenging at timesBuckeyeParrothead wrote:Kyle's 2nd birthday was yesterday. We had his party on Sunday. I updated the first post, so just let me know if the date changes.

Mrs. Play had her last monthly check-up today. She goes back in 2 weeks and then 2 weeks again, then weekly until the baby is born.
Everything seems normal. The baby's heart rate is 156 and her blood pressure is good.
Less than 2 months until the due date!

My last monthly check-up is next Thursday, which is almost exactly 2 months to my c-section date! It's crazy how fast this has gone! I say that now, but if it stays 95 degrees outside, it's going to be a looooong summer!Mr Play wrote:Mrs. Play had her last monthly check-up today. Hope all the mamas and papas are doing well!

I just realized that Mrs. Play is due the day before my soon to be sister in law... you'll get your 3 rd bundle of joy about the same time my niece will be bornMr Play wrote:Mrs. Play had her last monthly check-up today.
