The bio says he was the percussionist and wrote the album. I don't see where he has any singing credits. Any other place you can point me to in order to verify he actually sang.

"In the vein of "six degrees of Kevin Bacon," link Jimmy Buffett to Harry Belfonte, via released recordings, in three steps (no more no less)."

No, I do not know of Ralph MacDonald singing with James Taylor and he probably did not.
My understanding of the instruction was to simply link artists together from a "released recording". I would consider performing percussion on an album as a significant relationship and thus link the two artists together. The instructions did not specifically require it to be artists that "sang" together. The example you gave was one who sang together but was described as just that, an example.
However, I certainly appreciate your work on this competition and respect your decision on this topic. It sure is fun trying!

Clairebert wrote:Monday's question/task. In the vein of "six degrees of Kevin Bacon," link Jimmy Buffett to Harry Belfonte, via released recordings, in three steps (no more no less). For example, Jimmy sang with (X) on (song title). (X) sang with (Y) on (song title). (Y) sang with Harry Belafonte on (song title). I have one path but there probabaly are more so it might take me a while to verify the first correct answer.

Out of curiousity, which path did you have Clairebert? I'm sure there have to be a few!

shakerofsalt,
I certainly see what you are pointing too. And I thought about that when I was answering the question. My interpretation of that was that it was just that, an example that you could use to link two artists together. Six degree's of separation usually means they had some link by working together. My example certainly covered that. Oh well, its up to Clairebert now. This sure is fun!

In the six degrees game you link actors with actors thats why I gave the example of.... Jimmy SANG with (X) who SANG with..... In the Kevin Bacon game you wouldn't link Kevin Beacon with the Key Grip guy, although I'm sure the Key Grip guy plays an important part in the prodution of the movie. I'm not comparing Ralph to a Key Grip guy but he is known more for his percussion than his singing. All that said, my bad for not being more specific so I'll declare two winners, Cdudley and ShakerofSalt. PM me where you want the poster sent. Fins up!!

Augh! I was going to substitute
I Used To Have Money One Time and Door Number 3 for the "first" and "second" titles.

RATS. I've been refreshing since lunch hoping to catch your question!

Oh well. It's tough being accurate AND fast. Can't do both at once, it seems.
