Are You Upgrading Your PC?

If so...what are you doing with your "old" one?

One of the things that gives me some satisfaction in this life is refurbishing old/unused PC's and giving them to those that don't have the means to drop 6-7 hundred bucks on a new one. Regardless if they are a student, single mom/dad, whatever...this is just one of the things I do and enjoy at no cost to them.

So...any BN'ers out there upgrading and not knowing what to do with the "other" PC and might want to help out someone else...please drop me a PM...

Thanks...

Interesting. Not planning on any upgrades soon, but it's good to know that somebody's willing to do something constructive with the old stuff.

I am guessing you draw the line at a P1-166 with 64 megs of RAM and a 10 GB HD.. :D

My old one is in my mothers garage - never worked out how to remove ALL my stuff before considering giving it to someone else......

I've got an F-Disk floppy (and no...that's not perverted :) ) that wipes the hard drive and I start from scratch...Insert floppy, reboot...everythings gone.

I commend you for what you do. It's something that alot of people take for granted. I am a single mom and was fortunate enough to receive a computer from my folks before I divorced my ex. But it's nice to know that there is someone out there who helps people in need. There needs to be more people like you......

Not upgrading in the near future, but I'll keep ya in mind when I do. I'm sure the recipients appreciate your efforts very much!

:) I'm proud to say that several times over the last few years, my office has donated many computers, monitors and printers to local schools. :D I've not done that before, as the only one I had upgraded was pretty much dead. :(

Great job Breezer. :D
