2yr Old B-Day Party Ideas
OK BNrs here it is. Mission: 2 Year Old Birthday Party.
My little Tony is turning 2 on February 2nd. Our house is in various states of remodel so having a party at our place is out of the question. I'm not to keen on the idea of Chuck E Cheese and our local rec. center is booked, so........
Moms, dads, and onlookers, what are some suggestions for a 2 year old birthday party? It will mostly be adults and older children and up to possibly 30 people max.
Remember, I'm in Colorado so anything outdoors is pretty much out of the question.
THANKS!!

Some of Clove and Lake's friend have had them at a local gymnastics place - the kids loved it and instructors went through stuff with them and the parents didn't have to do much at all.
Another idea could be a bowling alley. Many have bumper bowling for the little kids and they really get a kick out of knocking the pins down. I've gone to one that has automatic bumpers that raise when the kids are bowling and lower when the adults/older kids are up.

Seriously about the pool party, is there an indoor pool close by at a YMCA or something? I have a January birthday, and I had a few (indoor) pool parties when I was younger. Maybe you could even make it tropical themed.
Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Yeah, there is, and it was our first choice, but it's booked for the days we wanted to use it.jonesbeach10 wrote:Seriously about the pool party, is there an indoor pool close by at a YMCA or something? I'm looking into the gymnastics option. There's a few places around. Bowling is kinda out as Tony is a bit too little.7lords wrote:Some of Clove and Lake's friend have had them at a local gymnastics place - the kids loved it and instructors went through stuff with them and the parents didn't have to do much at all.

They usually have ball ramps for the little kids. You aim the ramp and put the ball on it and they just give it a push. Lake was at one when he was about 18 months old and couldn't stop laughing everytime he would push the ball and knock pins down.buffettbride wrote:I'm looking into the gymnastics option. Hmm. Then I'll have to check and see. There's a gazillion places where we could do that. Did he lift the ball up on his own?7lords wrote:They usually have ball ramps for the little kids. I know the other kids that will be there definitely would enjoy bowling and so would the grownups.

check with some of your ( if you have them in your town) specialty toy stores...the kind that sell the educational toys....some of them will hold thing like sand art classes that you can turn into a b.day party....also what about a paint your own pottery place..on second though that may be alittle too old...more like for 5 year olds....ummm also if you have a zoo, science museum, childrens museum, natural science center....we have places like that here that LOVE to host childrens parties....
There's this one particular harbor.....

Tony would LOVE the zoo. Unfortunately, we can't predict the weather and there could be 2' of snow on the ground!sunseeker wrote:check with some of your ( if you have them in your town) specialty toy stores...the kind that sell the educational toys....some of them will hold thing like sand art classes that you can turn into a b.day party....also what about a paint your own pottery place..on second though that may be alittle too old...more like for 5 year olds....ummm also if you have a zoo, science museum, childrens museum, natural science center....we have places like that here that LOVE to host childrens parties....

I second the bowling option. There are always birthday parties going on at our bowling alley on the weekends, and most of them offer packages.
Everytime I see them, they always look like they're having a great time, adults and kids alike.

Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all..
