NHRA - that time of year again

Post by 12 lb. nestle crunch »

yes, we're counting down the days until the Winternationals. here's what i think we'll see this year:

john force will win, with a vengeance

mike ashley will be a serious competitor in funny car

greg anderson will win a 4th straight championship

doug kalitta will be in the running for a top fuel championship, again

erica enders will improve greatly

Television just cannot do justice to what nitro-burning engines sound/feel like. :o :o :o :D :D :D

I like to go into the pits Sunday morning and get my "hit" of nitro! :D 8) 8) :D

In 1991 I was talking with Don "The Snake" Prudhomme (MY HERO) as they fired the car for the first time Friday morning at Sanair Raceway and he said: "After all these years it still gives me a woody!"

I'll never forget that!

There really is nothing better!!!!!
If you go to a drag race and haven't had the experience, you haven't really been to a race. :D
Even if you don't get hit in the face with the nitro---you have to FEEL the sound!

Frank seems to forget that without the rice rockets there would be no PSB.

NHRA had to tweak the rules FOR YEARS to make H-D competitive.

I didn't forget anything. They served their purpose, and like all other disposable items, after they serve their purpose, you toss 'em out.

And in 2-3 years when the rules swing back to favor someone else V&H will jump to that brand and forget all about H-D.

True. One of the reasons I avoid their products like the plague.
