Hmmm...I like the Ted Kennedy comparison.
I'll pass :-?

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

That NASCAR makes more left turns than Ted Kennedy.
I tell ya, if you ever anger a NASCAR fan, just make a few right turns, since they have to make 3 left turns to follow you. You'll get away pretty quickly.

I do not contend that NASCAR is a sport. (to be debated else where
"Oh all the money that e'er I spent, I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that I ever did, Alas it was to none but me.
And since it falls, unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, 'Goodnight and Joy be with you all.'"

Driving a car isn't a sport. Unless you're in midtown Manhattan trying to pick off a few tourists.

I would have a LOT more respect for Nascar if there where people driving like 100 mph in there too for them to avoid like I have to when driving----relatively speaking.

that and construction zones.

oh and the occasional FUZZ clocking them where they'd have to slow down for a lap!

BRING IT ON!
