As one comedian said.."He enunciates" He didn't fit the image of a redneck stock car driver, too clean cut and nice. Immediate turnoff for the #3 fans and most others. I followed him before Busch back when he was in open wheels, and really started to like him in Cup just to annoy my friends who hated him.
I went from being a Gordan hater, to tolerating him, to thinking he is a good racer and I dont mind if he does well. But I dont consider myself to be a Fan.

Eh, I think he may have been the first of the "cookie-cutter drivers". Too politically correct to really say what's on their mind. That seems to be changing a little at a time these days, but he's got "Mini-Jeff" in the 48 to take over the corporate mouthpiece role.

Personally, I'm a big fan of anyone doing things the hard way. Guys like Kyle Petty, Robby Gordon, Ken Schrader. My daughter is a big Bobby Labonte fan - she was crushed to hear he was leaving the 18 team, but now she's happy because she gets to really like Betty Crocker stuff. :D Besides, it's awfully cool that Bobby's favorite song happens to be Tin Cup Chalice.

I've heard this a lot... I haven't met him (and I'm not crying about that either, I have no desire to meet him) It's nice to see him have a bad finish, and I think it's a curse because of his comments about being at Wrigley "Stadium"

It's Martinsville - the cars don't even need bodies to run well there. In fact, the front end damage Junior had was most likely beneficial to him.

Texas Motor Speedway, hmmmmm....I think the 16 is due for a good run and I wouldn't bet against any of the Roush cars.

btw, has anyone ever noticed you could show a movie on Harvicks forehead? God that guy is an a$$! What does he have 4 career wins and he thinks he's the greatest?
