Actually, we bought our current house knowing we would be moving in less than 10 years (6 years ago). We didn't want to move away from family, and for the most part, when both sets of our parents retire, we are all picking up and moving together. The house we were in to begin with was poorly built to begin with, so we moved.rednekkPH wrote:Why would anyone build a house with the intention of selling it down the line? I can see buying a home that you dont' plan to live in forever, but going through the pain in the a$$ of building twice...not me.sy wrote:Actually, we bought our current house knowing we would be moving in less than 10 years (6 years ago). Oh, and I have to commend whoever designed your floor plan. I love the fact that the master bedroom is like 5 feet from the refrigerator. Someone was thinking...![]()
As for design.... thank my mom.. she designed the floorplan..

What made our final decision was walking into Home Depot and seeing the granite right next to the Corian... the granite looked so much nicer. The Corian just looked to plasticy to me. I am thrilled with the end result. We picked from remnant pieces in the bathrooms which cut down on costs and you can always price 2cm vs 3cm thickness with the granite. We chose a less expensive granite but went for the thicker piece and the rounded edge in the kitchen.
