If you're not familiar with photoshop to begin with, I highly recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements. It's FAR cheaper, and if you need it for your general picture editing, it will more than do the job. Plus a lot of the frequent tasks that people do (removing red eye, balancing color and contrast) is actually built in as macros, so you don't actually need to figure out how to do it.

You would need to either buy it at someplace like best buy or staples. Online aquiring is also possible....but not quite legal ;)

I want it basically to do fun things.... so I dont think I need a high tech program....

I believe elements is right around 80$ or less. Well worth every penny, in my opinion.

Actually, if you don't care about an earlier version, I may have an older copy (maybe a version or 2 before) that I can give you. I keep current with the versions because I'm certified (in adobe, not insane) but I still have most of the older versions. PM me if you're interested.
