$1.50 Margaritas...hmmmm...maybe they knew we were coming!

I was thinking about getting there between 6:30 and 7. I think the Cincy bunch may arrive a bit earlier...I'll give them a call and update if I get more info.
I see
Brixx address isn't Patterson and 3rd...it's
500 E. 1st St., so it's just a block East of Canal St. Tavern on 1st Street. Just made a reservation for 10 at 6:30...under "Krebs".

What a couple of days
first there was Tuesday, Valentines day in Colombus.
What can I say. the venu is beautiful, there is a lodge like atmosphere with several Blazing fireplaces, a wall of windows and a view of the Moon rising over the Scioto River. Food was a buffett, and I have eaten many, many meals out. This was among the top 3 or 4 - Started out with salad bar, including wonderful assorted prepared seafood salads.
Crab legs, prime rib. smoked salmon, pork loin w/ cherry stuffing salmon, Mackerel, coconut shrimp, and the best garlic mashed potatos I have ever eaten. Desert was cake or mousse. Because it was Spiff dog daddy's birthday we took a cake and had a mini celibration at dinner. grabbing Matt and a few of his other friends to sing (Quietly) Happy Birthday. at our table next to the Scioto River.
Picture the moon shining over the river. and Peter & Scott and Matt on a stage right in front of the windows singing his heart out for valentines day. Sorry I didn't keep a set list. I was too involved in the moment. maybe someone else did. but it was incredible. with Peter Jumping into a LONG congo line during chain of love. right behind me. talking to me as we made 2 trips around the large room. afterward in the meet & greet room, we were able to stand around, talking to Peter. as he signed Alice's Christmas Present (a Copy of the album, PM.) we arrived back in Cincy tired and happy at about 3 am. All in all, an outstanding, most memorable night.
Now for Canal street We arrived early, we parked, walked a couple of blocks down the street to Brixx to eat. as we arrived at Brixx we met Parrot1 aka Eric, with Larina (Who's Still a lurker here, Hasn't thought of her BN name yet) Dinner was good. and we all sat around talking, as we talked, we were joined by Q & S and BHC. After dinner we went back to Canal street. They had just opened the doors. We went in and found a few of our other friends. We were all able to get seats for all of us in the front. on the right of the stage. at this point Allison reached into her back pack and took our Four Play Palm. and took turns blowing his fronst and nuts. Waiting to see Peter Mayer, BN friends blowing and signing the Palm. Does it get any better?
( I am sure Four play will post his details himself. but he got to spend time in the green room and hang out with Peter. ) and Peter got to spend time signing and carressing his fronds,
Plenty of Pictures were taken. but my camera had a dead battery and Others will have to post them.
In all our group ended up with- 20 people and the BN regulars were
Quiet&Shy, Big Hat Carmen, Ches, Cool Blue Swing, Spiff Dogs Daddy, Captain Flock and Parrot1. plus Dano and Parrot2(?0 The rest of our large group were friends most of whom lurk here and fellow PHC members.
Peter took the stage about 10 after an opening act and Played till about one. he played his heart out. talked a lot about how most of the songs were written. He again Joined the congo line Behind me ( 2 for 2) and in front of Q & S. There were probably only 60 people in the room. and It was a magicial show. letting out about 1 AM not wanting the night to end and it to be time to leave. Standing talking, hugging, and watching the band load out. We arrived home about 4am. Very tired and content.
tonite, Back to the real world, Strandedin Cinci, fins4813,CBS and I, have a PHC board meeting.

I always turn my cell phone off when I'm on the train going home. Doofus that I am, I just now turned it back on.

I had a voicemail with music playing in the background, did I get DD'd and not even know it?

actuallly she is not parrot2, yet, she said she hadn't made a name up yet, parrot2 just sort of happened. not sure if she will leave it or not.
CBS, Q&S and BHC made a bunch of DD's, so probably. Know it was not me tho.- don't have your no.

Tuesday's Valentines day show was nothing short of INCREDIBLE!
I got there at about 3 in the afternoon, right after load in. Helped get everything set up (CD's, lights, towels, made an emergency run for light gels and money boxes)..I had a really good interview with Peter phor my production project, then with some local freinds who got me into this (Don Martin and Lara Young).
Dinner came at about 6 phor us, we had dinner with the Young family, Don Martin, and the band. It was a great time, and some absolutly AMAZING food. I still can't get over how good the pasta salad and the cheesecake...
I was SO thrilled to see Ches and her family, Alice, and the B-day boy Kevin! It was SUCH a pleasure to see them again, and I was so happy to join in on the birthday party! Thanks guys, y'all are the real reason to go to a Peter Mayer show!

It's always a thrill to catch up.
Peter put on quite simply the best show I've seen him do. With about 300 or more people in the audience, the band just hit the spot. They rocked all ngiht long, and it was so easy to tell that everyone was having the best Valentines day possible!!! Set list phrom the show was:
-Meet Me Under the Moonlight (peter solo)
-Last Island
-Sweet Nothing
-Musicbox
-Blue Guitar
-Cool Blue Swing
-Hair of the Dog (with extra lighting)
-Faith in Angels (R. Scott on guitar)
-Send Me The Love
-Love Song Medley (If I Fell/Yesterday's)
-Approaching Caroline
-Chain of Love (extra lighting on the crowd, HUUGGEE conga line)
-Romeo's Garage (extra lighting)
-Moonlight Over Paris
-BB's Got the Blues (/All You Need Is Love / She Loves You (yea yea yea))
-Morningstar Cafe (Spare Tire Orchestra)
-R. Scott Bryan solo (Spare Tire Orchestra)
-India (Spare Tire Orchestra)
-Suzannah
All in all, left at about 12:00 AM and woke up dead tired the next day. What an AMAZING night! Thank you Peter, thank you DON AND LARA!, thank you Kevin and Alice, Ches and family, Mom, Dad, and to Lara's sister phor giving me dirt on my phreinds (German teacher at my schools sister school)
And thats Matts review.
SOOOO JELOUS I MISSED OUT ON DAYTON! Sounds like nothing short of amazing, I was thinkin' of y'all and even put on a CD in your honor! Sounds like they really rocked again, how cool is that!?
Kevin...sorry your b-day week was so bad.
and Alice/Ches...WOW..I still can't believe how you phound PM (and what Jim looks like

)
