We're getting as predictable as a Buffett concert.
BEG is next! Thank goodness, 'cause I hafta potty!
Is that other people's bathroom break song too? I've used that for so many years at the concerts that just hearing the song on my CD player makes me have to go to the bathroom.
CIP is my potty break song.

I think that song is actually on his 1980 album Music Man which also includes the theme from The Dukes of Hazzard. I like Waylon's version but still prefer Buffett's. I also think Willie Nelson did a good job of covering Railroad Lady on his To Lefty From Williealbum, his tribute to country great Lefty Frizzel.

Walyon also covered "Defying Gravity" although it's not a Jimmy original.
It was written and recorded by Jesse Winchester.

He also wrote another my favorite Buffett covers, Biloxi.

Speaking of Jesse a couple of archvial records of his have just been released:

He also has a message on his web site about some illegal recordings that have hit the market for sale that he is none too happy about:

funny, I just got the chords to that today and was messing around with it on the guitar.

I really do not know much of Jesse's music but after Jimmy did Jesse's "Gentleman Of Leisure" at a solo benefit a few years back, I got a copy of Jesse's original. Great song and "if" Jimmy were to cover another Jesse song I'd like to hear his take on it with the band.
all I have to do is dreeeeeeaaaaaam

(insert name here) and the Gentlemen Of Leisure would also be a good band name

Jesse's music is definitely worth checking out. I only have a couple of his albums myself but I like 'em a lot.

Speaking of another artist Buffett (and Jerry Jeff) has covered, I just learned Keith Sykes is not only going to be playing a house concert here (NC) but he's opening for John Prine in Charlotte and Greensboro as well.

I found it online at limewire.

It's from a movie called "Executioners Song".
It's also on a Waylon cd called Hangin' Tough
There's a sample of it here
